White rice (long grain)

Step 1

Cook the rice according to the package instructions.

Yellow onion

Step 2

Peel & thinly slice the onion.

Flank steak

Step 3

Slice the steak into strips.

Corn starch
Soy sauce
Honey
Worcestershire sauce
Flank steak

Step 4

In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, honey, black pepper & cornstarch. Add a drizzle of olive oil. Then add the steak. Set aside to marinate for 3-5 min.

Yellow onion

Step 5

Heat another drizzle of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion & a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring for 5 min.

Flank steak

Step 6

Add the steak & the marinade to the pan. Increase the heat to medium-high & stir. Add a splash of water. Sauté for 5 min, or until the steak is cooked to your liking. Add more water to create a gravy, if needed.

Parsley (fresh)

Step 7

Serve the steak & onion gravy alongside a fluffy bed of rice. Garnish with chopped parsley (optional). Season with salt & pepper. Add a final drizzle of olive oil. Enjoy!
