Sushi rice

Step 1

Rinse the sushi rice several times until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to the package instructions.

Cucumber

Step 2

Meanwhile, wash, peel (optional) & cut the cucumber into cubes.

Tuna (canned)
Mayonnaise
Sriracha sauce

Step 3

Prepare the filling: in a bowl, add the drained tuna, mayonnaise & hot sauce. Stir together & set aside.

Nori sheets (roasted seaweed)

Step 4

Cut the seaweed sheets into small strips.

Rice vinegar
Sugar (granulated)

Step 5

Prepare the vinegar for the sushi rice: in a bowl, stir together the rice vinegar, sugar & a pinch of salt.

Step 6

Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a dish to cool. Add the rice vinegar mixture & mix gently.

Crispy fried onions

Step 7

Serve the rice in a bowl or shallow dish. Add the spicy tuna, cucumber & seaweed. Sprinkle with the fried onions & sesame seeds, if you have any. Enjoy!
