Oven, Blender, Knife
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Wash the tomatoes & slice into quarters.
Step 2
Peel the red onions & slice into quarters.
Step 3
Add the tomato, onion, garlic & rosemary to a baking dish. Add salt, pepper & a good drizzle of olive oil. Bake for 35-40 min at 400°F.
Step 4
When the vegetables are well-cooked & browned, remove the dish from the oven.
Step 5
Discard the rosemary if you used it. Add the roasted tomato & onion to a blender. Squeeze in the roasted garlic & add the basil leaves. Mix everything until smooth & enjoy! *Consult our tips for batch cooking!
To preserve your tomato sauce, pour it into sterilized jars. Seal the jars tightly & store them in a cool, dark place. Consume within 12 months!
