Italian pork sausage (ground)

Step 1

Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the ground pork & grated or minced garlic.

Season with salt & pepper. Cook, stirring for 3-5 min. Break the meat apart as it cooks down.

Tomatoes (canned, peeled)

Step 3

Add the canned tomatoes & stir. Bring it to a simmer.

Basil (fresh)

Step 4

Add the basil. Season again with salt & pepper. Reduce the heat to low, cover & simmer until the polenta is done.

Milk (whole)

Step 5

Pour the milk into a separate pot over medium heat. Bring it to a gentle boil.

Polenta

Step 6

Slowly add the polenta, stirring constantly. Continue mixing or whisking until the polenta is smooth & creamy. Add a splash of water if needed.

Parmesan (grated)

Step 7

Season with salt & pepper. Add half of the grated parmesan & stir.

Parmesan (grated)
Basil (fresh)

Step 8

Spoon the polenta into serving bowls. Top with the sausage ragu. Garnish with the remaining parmesan. Add a few more fresh basil leaves (optional). Enjoy!
