The flavors of pizza in a nourishing, high-protein meal!
Knife, Frying pan, Cutting board, Oven, Stovetop
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Peel & small dice the onion.
Step 2
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in an oven-safe frying pan on medium heat. Add the onion. Season with salt, pepper & Italian seasoning (optional). Cook, stirring often, until softened, 4-5 min.
Step 3
Add the cannellini beans (drained & rinsed) to the frying pan. Next, pour in the marinara sauce. Stir to combine. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
Step 4
Spread out the beans in an even layer. Sprinkle the mozzarella & parmesan on top. Transfer to the oven & cook at 425°F for 10-15, until the cheese is gooey. For an extra bubbly, golden brown surface, finish by broiling on high for 2-3 min, watching carefully until done to your liking.
Step 5
Cook the garlic bread according to package directions.
Step 6
When the pizza beans & garlic bread are ready, remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil (optional) & serve - straight from the skillet or arranged on plates. Enjoy!
