Pasta (elbow macaroni)

Step 1

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain in a colander & set aside.

Butter (unsalted)

Step 2

Melt the butter in the same pot over medium-low heat.

Flour (all-purpose)

Step 3

Add the flour. Mix until smooth & combined.

Milk (whole)

Step 4

Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously as the sauce thickens.

Cheddar (shredded)
Parmesan (grated)

Step 5

Season with salt & pepper. Add the cheddar & parmesan. Turn off the heat. Mix until the cheese melts into a creamy gooey sauce.

Paprika
Pasta (elbow macaroni)

Step 6

Stir in the macaroni. Season with paprika (optional).

Chives (fresh)

Step 7

Serve your mac & cheese garnished with chopped chives (optional). Enjoy!
