Stovetop, Pot (small), Colander, Grater, Citrus juicer, Frying pan

Pasta (spaghetti)

Step 1

Cook the pasta in a pot of salted boiling water according to the package instructions.

Grate the lemon zest into a bowl & set aside.

Juice the lemon.

Drain the pasta 1 to 2 min before it's done cooking. Reserve a bit of the pasta cooking liquid.

Butter (unsalted)

Step 5

In a pan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the lemon juice & stir for 2 min.

Step 6

Add half of the lemon zest. Season with salt & pepper. The sauce should thicken slightly.

Step 7

Transfer the cooked pasta to the pan. Add a bit of the pasta cooking liquid. Increase the heat to medium.

Parmesan (grated)

Step 8

Add the grated parmesan & cook for 2 min, or until the cheese melts into the sauce.

Step 9

Simmer over low heat for 2 more min, stirring frequently. Season with salt & pepper.

Step 10

Remove from heat. Serve the pasta garnished with grated parmesan & remaining lemon zest. Mangia!
