Fragrant fresh basil brightens up this Thai-inspired stir fry!

Make sure you have...
Knife, Frying pan, Stovetop

Step 1
Peel & thinly slice the shallots.

Step 2
Peel & thinly slice the garlic.
Step 3
Heat a drizzle of oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the shallots & cook for 2-3 min, until softened. Add the garlic & cook for 1-2 more min.



Step 4
Add the ground chicken & cook for 4-5 min, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon as it cooks. When the chicken is cooked (no pink remaining), add the soy sauce, fish sauce & sugar. Keep cooking for 2-3 more min, until the liquid has thickened & coated the chicken.

Step 5
Remove from the heat. Add the basil leaves & toss to wilt.

Step 6
Heat the rice according to package instructions.
Step 7
Serve the chicken & basil stir fry over rice. Enjoy!

Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the stir fry if you like some heat!
