Make sure you have...
Sheet Tray, Oven, Aluminum foil, Knife
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 500°F & if using frozen shrimp, defrost beforehand. Rinse & trim the white woody ends off the asparagus. Then halve the asparagus.
Step 2
Peel & mince the garlic.
Step 3
In a small dish, combine shrimp, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper & a drizzle of oil. Toss to evenly coat.
Step 4
Line a sheet tray with foil. Add a drizzle of oil & the asparagus. Toss to coat & spread out in an even layer, leaving the center of the tray empty.
Step 5
Place the steak in the center of the tray. Season all over with salt & pepper, rubbing the steak into the remaining oil. Add a few dabs of butter over the asparagus & steak. Roast in the oven at 500°F for 6-7 min.
Step 6
Remove the tray from the oven & turn on the broiler setting. Arrange the shrimp over the asparagus & return to the oven. Broil for 4-5 min, or until shrimp are pink & fully cooked. Remove from the oven.
Step 7
Transfer the steak to a cutting board & allow it to rest for 5 min. Then, carefully slice against the grain.
Step 8
Serve everything together with an extra squeeze of lemon if you wish. Enjoy!
Adjust the cooking time & oven temperature depending on the size & thickness of your steak :-)
