Ingredients

Utensils

Stovetop, Pot (small), Frying pan

recipe

Lime
Honey
Tabasco

Step 1

If using frozen salmon, thaw in advance. Add the honey, your favorite hot sauce, salt & pepper to a small dish. Then add the lime zest & juice. Whisk to combine.

Salmon (fresh)

Step 2

Place the salmon in the marinade dish. Baste it & let sit for 3 min.

White rice (long grain)

Step 3

Meanwhile, heat a pot of boiling water over medium heat & cook the rice according to package instructions.

Step 4

Heat a drizzle of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the salmon skin-side down, reserving the marinade. Cook for 3 min on one side. Then flip & cook for an additional 2 min.

Step 5

In the last 2 min of cooking, pour the marinade into the pan. Let the sauce thicken, as you continue spooning the glaze over the salmon.

Step 6

Fluff the rice after it's cooked.

Cilantro (fresh)

Step 7

Serve the glazed salmon over the rice. Garnish with a lime wedge & torn cilantro leaves (optional).
