recipe

Pasta (fusilli or rotini)

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a pot of salted, boiling water, cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain the pasta & set aside.

Broccoli (fresh)
Ham (deli slices)

Step 2

Meanwhile, wash the broccoli & cut it into florets. Cut the florets in half if necessary. Cut the ham into thin strips.

Step 3

In another pot of boiling water, cook the broccoli for 5-7 min. Drain the broccoli.

Butter (unsalted)
Flour (all-purpose)

Prepare the cream sauce: in a sauce pot over low heat, melt the butter. Add the flour & whisk quickly for 1 min.

Milk (whole)

Step 5

Slowly add the milk, mixing until the sauce is thick & bubbly, about 2 min. Season with salt, pepper & a pinch of nutmeg if you have. Remove the pot from the heat.

Step 6

In a baking dish, add the drained pasta, broccoli & cut ham.

Step 7

Cover with the cream sauce & toss together.

Italian cheese blend (shredded)
