Juicy & flavorful, this pork burger will wow your taste buds! :-)
Stovetop, Frying pan, Knife
Step 1
Thinly slice the green onion. Separate the light green & dark green parts. Finely chop the lighter slices. Save the darker slices for garnish.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, add the ground pork. Grate the garlic & ginger into the bowl. Add the soy sauce & sesame oil. Mix everything together to combine.
Step 3
In a mixing bowl, mix together the coleslaw mix & half of the spicy mayo.
Step 4
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the buns on the crumb side & toast for about 2 min, or until golden. Set aside.
Step 5
Add another drizzle of olive oil to the same pan over medium heat. Form the burger patties & add them to the pan. Cook for 4-5 min on each side or until the burgers are cooked through. Remove them from the heat & set aside.
Step 6
Assemble the burger: Add the remaining spicy mayo to the bottom bun. Add the burger patty, then top with the spicy slaw. Garnish with the dark green scallion slices, add the top bun & enjoy!
To check the seasoning of the burgers, cook a small portion of the pork mixture in a skillet before forming the patties! This way, you can safely taste & adjust the seasoning before you cook the burgers.
