recipe

French fries (frozen)

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a sheet tray with parchment paper & add the frozen french fries in an even layer. Bake in the oven for 10-15 min, or until golden & crispy. Be sure to follow the package instructions for best results!

Yellow onion

Step 2

As the fries bake, peel & dice the onion.

Pickle relish
Thousand Island dressing

Step 3

In a small bowl, combine pickle relish & Thousand Island dressing.

Butter (unsalted)

Step 4

Melt a dab of butter in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the onions. Stir & cook for 8-10 min, until they begin browning around the edges. Once nicely caramelized, remove from the heat.

American cheese (yellow)

Step 5

Remove the fries from the oven & top with sliced American cheese. Return to the oven for 3-4 min or until the cheese is nicely melted. Option: use the broiler setting for about 1 min to quickly melt the cheese.

Step 6

Remove the fries from the oven. Top with the caramelized onions & creamy sauce. Serve & enjoy!
