Yellow onion

Step 1

Peel & thinly slice the onions.

Bell pepper (assorted)

Step 2

Wash the peppers & remove the seeds. Thinly slice the pepper into strips.

Olive oil

Step 3

Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions & peppers. Stir & cook for 2 min. Cover the pan & steam for 2 min. Uncover & repeat the process until the veggies are caramelized. Remove from the heat once softened & set aside.

Pepper Jack cheese (slices)
Taco seasoning

Step 4

Season the turkey burger with salt, pepper & taco seasoning. Heat another drizzle of oil in the same pan & cook the turkey burger, about 5 min per side. In the final moments of cooking, add the sliced pepper jack cheese over the burger. Cover the pan & allow the cheese to melt for 1 min.

Step 5

On a bun, add the turkey burger & layer the caramelized veggies on top. Add a few spoonfuls of guacamole & close the burger. Serve & enjoy!
