Mussels

Step 1

Clean the mussels by wiping them with a paper towel & removing any "beards" (these are the hair-like pieces that might be attached to the mussels).

Raw shrimp (frozen)

Step 2

If using frozen shrimp, defrost.

Garlic

Step 3

Peel & roughly chop the garlic.

Pasta (linguine)

Step 4

In a pot of salted, boiling water, add the linguine & cook until al dente, about 6 min.

Curly parsley (fresh)

Step 5

Meanwhile, wash & chop the parsley.

Step 6

Drain the pasta & set aside.

Butter (unsalted)

Step 7

Add a dab of butter & a drizzle of olive oil to a pot on medium-high heat. Add the chopped garlic & shrimp. Cook for 2-3 min until the shrimp are almost fully cooked.

White wine

Step 8

Next, add the white wine & mussels. Cover & cook for 5-6 min or until the mussels open up. Add the drained pasta & chopped parsley into the pot. Stir to combine, then remove from the heat. Serve & enjoy!
