We think caramelized onions & peppers belong on every burger after tasting this one!
Make sure you have...
Knife, Stovetop, Frying pan
Step 1
Peel & thinly slice the onions.
Step 2
Wash the peppers & remove the seeds. Thinly slice the pepper into strips.
Step 3
Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions & peppers. Stir & cook for 2 min. Cover the pan & steam for 2 min. Uncover & repeat the process until the veggies are caramelized. Remove from the heat once softened & set aside.
Step 4
Season the turkey burger with salt, pepper & taco seasoning. Heat another drizzle of oil in the same pan & cook the turkey burger, about 5 min per side. In the final moments of cooking, add the sliced pepper jack cheese over the burger. Cover the pan & allow the cheese to melt for 1 min.
Step 5
On a bun, add the turkey burger & layer the caramelized veggies on top. Add a few spoonfuls of guacamole & close the burger. Serve & enjoy!
