Stovetop, Pot (small), Frying pan
Prepare the barley according to the package instructions.
Wash & trim the green beans. Add them to a pot of salted boiling water. Cook for 1 min. Add the peas. Cook for another 2 min. Drain & set aside.
Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the grated or crushed garlic. Then add the shrimp. Cook, stirring for 2 min.
Add the zest & juice from the lemon. Pour the barley, peas & green beans into the pan. Stir it all together. Season with salt & pepper. Add a final drizzle of olive oil. Serve & enjoy!
