Almonds (sliced)

Step 1

Toast the sliced almonds in a small pot over medium-low heat for 1-2 min. Shake the pot frequently to keep them from burning! Transfer the almonds to a plate. Keep the pot over medium-low heat.

Milk (whole)
Rolled oats
Water

Step 2

Add the milk, water, oats & a pinch of salt to the pot. Stir it all together. Cook for 15-20 min, stirring occasionally. Add more milk or water if needed. The oats should be creamy & tender.

Figs (fresh)

Step 3

Wash & quarter the figs.

Maple syrup
Almonds (sliced)
Figs (fresh)

Step 4

Spoon the oatmeal into serving bowls. Top with the figs, toasted almonds & a drizzle of maple syrup. Breakfast is ready!
