Tomato (beefsteak)

Step 1

Wash & thinly slice the tomato.

Step 2

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bacon & cook undisturbed, 2-3 min on each side. Once cooked to your liking, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, keeping the remaining bacon grease in the pan.

Sourdough bread

Step 3

Spread a thin layer of mayo onto one side of each slice of bread.

Cheddar (shredded)
Tomato (beefsteak)

Step 4

Top one half of the bread slices with most of the cheddar cheese. Layer on bacon & sliced tomato. Add the remaining cheese & close the sandwich (mayo side facing out).

Step 5

Heat the same pan over medium heat. Add the sandwich to the pan. Press down with a spatula, 2-3 min on each side, until the cheese is melted & the bread is evenly toasted. Remove from heat.

Step 6

Halve the grilled cheese sandwich. Serve hot & enjoy!
