Baked beans that are packed with so much flavor! Our favorite part is the bacon :-)
Stovetop, Pot (large), Knife
Step 1
Peel & small dice the onion.
Step 2
Cut the bacon into 1/2 inch slices.
Step 3
Heat a pot over medium-high heat. Add the bacon, stir & cook until crispy, about 3-4 mins.
Step 4
Add the diced onion & stir. Season with smoked paprika, black pepper & some chili powder if you have any. Stir & let the onions cook for 2-3 min.
Step 5
Add apple cider vinegar & stir to loosen the bits on the bottom of the pot.
Step 6
Add drained & rinsed beans, brown sugar, mustard, ketchup & molasses. Stir everything together. If the mixture seems really thick, add a splash of water (about a 1/4 cup per serving). Cover & lower the heat to a simmer. Cook for 12-15 min.
Step 7
Uncover the beans & stir. The texture should be smooth & thick. Serve with additional bacon on top if you have any. Enjoy!
