Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Peel & finely slice the potatoes. A mandolin works great here!
Step 2
Peel & mince the garlic.
Step 3
Add the milk, garlic & nutmeg to a saucepan over medium-low heat. Mix & bring to a simmer. Season with salt & pepper. Add the potatoes. Cover & cook for 3 min.
Step 4
Transfer the potato-milk mixture to a greased baking dish. Spread the crème fraîche evenly over top. Bake for 40 min, or until the milk is absorbed & the top is crispy.
Step 5
Season with salt & pepper. Serve & enjoy!
