Warm up with this simple, slow-cooked beef chili!
Stovetop, Pot (large), Knife, Slow cooker
Step 1
Peel & dice the onion.
Step 2
In a pot, heat a drizzle of oil on medium heat. Add the ground beef, break up the meat & cook until it's no longer pink.
Step 3
Season the meat with salt, pepper, chili powder & cumin. Season it up with more spices if you have them (we suggest onion powder, garlic powder & paprika)! Stir & cook for 1 min.
Step 4
Add the tomato paste, stir & cook for 1 min. Then, add the diced onion, stir & cook for 3-4 min. Transfer everything to the base of a slow cooker.
Step 5
Add the canned diced tomatoes, beef broth & drained kidney beans to the slow cooker. Season with salt & pepper. Cover & cook on HIGH for 4 hr or LOW for 7 hr.
Step 6
Uncover, stir & taste for seasoning. Serve with toasted cornbread. Top with sour cream & cilantro, if you have any. Enjoy!
