Flour (all-purpose)
Sugar (granulated)

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar & a pinch of salt.

Butter (unsalted)

Step 2

Using a box grater, finely shred the cold butter into the mixing bowl. Then mix the ingredients together with your fingers until it forms a coarse sandy texture. Refrigerate until needed.

Step 3

Peel & core the apples. Then cut them into chunks.

Rhubarb

Step 4

Wash & trim the rhubarb. Thinly slice the rhubarb stalks on the diagonal.

Step 5

Place the apple & rhubarb in a greased baking dish. Top with a sprinkle of added sugar (optional). Stir to combine.

Step 6

Evenly spread the butter-flour mixture over the fruit. Bake for 30-40 min.

Step 7

Remove the crumble from the oven. Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
