Add half of the eggs (2 eggs for the brownie batter), while whisking.

Flour (all-purpose)

Step 4

Add the flour (1/2 cup for the brownie batter) & a pinch of salt, then mix again until the batter is smooth.

Step 5

Line a square baking dish with parchment paper (spray with non-stick baking spray if you have any), then pour the batter into it. Spread evenly with a spoon.

Next, prepare the cookie dough. Roughly chop the rest of the chocolate (3.5 oz for the cookie dough).

Sugar (granulated)

Step 7

In a bowl, mix the rest of the softened butter (8 tbsp for the cookie dough) with the rest of the sugar (1/3 cup for the cookie dough).

Egg

Step 8

Add the remaining eggs (2 for the cookie dough) & mix until the mixture is smooth.

Baking powder

Step 9

Add the rest of the flour (1 1/2 cups for the cookie dough) & the baking powder. Mix together. Add the crushed chocolate & mix again.

Step 10

Drop the cookie dough on top of the brownie batter. Bake for 30 min at 350°F. Stick a toothpick into the center of the brookie, if it comes out clean, it's done!

Step 11

Remove the brookie from the oven. Let it cool completely before cutting it into bars & serving. Enjoy!
