Stovetop, Pot (small), Peeler, Knife

Garlic
Yellow onion
Potato

Step 1

Peel & mince the garlic. Peel & dice the onion. Peel & dice the potato.

Bacon

Step 2

Cut the bacon into strips. Add the bacon to a pot on medium heat. Cook for 5-7 min or until the bacon is well browned. Remove the bacon from the pan.

Step 3

Add the onion & garlic to the pan. Cook for 3-4 min until they begin to soften.

Corn (canned)
Potato
Veggie broth

Step 4

Add the corn, potato & vegetable broth to the pot. Bring to a boil & stir. Reduce the heat to low, cover & simmer for 15 min.

Heavy cream

Step 5

Add the cream. Season with salt & pepper. Simmer for another 3 min.

Basil (fresh)

Step 6

Serve, topped with the browned bacon & garnished with a drizzle of olive oil & torn basil leaves (optional). Time to chow-der down!
