recette

Farine de blé
Pâte à pizza (boule)

Étape 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F. On a flour-dusted surface, roll out the dough into a long rectangle. (Dust more flour on the dough & rolling pin if it starts sticking!)

Sauce marinara
Mélange italien

Étape 2

Spread a thin & even layer of marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a 1/2 inch around the edges. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.

Pepperoni (tranches)
Mozzarella (râpée)

Étape 3

Arrange pepperoni slices on top of the sauce. Cover the pepperoni with shredded mozzarella cheese & black pepper if desired.

Étape 4

Fold up the bottom edge of the dough & tuck in the sides. Roll it up like a giant burrito & transfer to a sheet tray lined with parchment paper.

Œuf
Parmesan (râpé)

Étape 5

In a small bowl, beat one egg. Brush the outside of the Stromboli with egg wash & sprinkle parmesan cheese on top. Bake in the oven at 400°F for 25-30 min, or until the outside is golden brown. Pro tip: check on the crust occasionally, every oven heats at a different pace!

Étape 6

Remove the Stromboli from the oven & allow it to cool for several minutes. This will help the filling firm up inside. Use a serrated knife to slice 1-inch thick rounds. Serve with warm marinara sauce & enjoy!
