Frying pan, Stovetop, Oven, Sheet Tray, Knife
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 425ºF. Peel & finely chop the white onion.
Step 2
Wash & cut the jalapeño in half. Remove the seeds (for less spice), then finely chop.
Step 3
Line a sheet tray with foil or parchment paper. Add the frozen french fries to the tray. Bake according to package directions, about 15 min.
Step 4
Heat a drizzle of oil in a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. For a charcoal or gas grill, preheat to 425ºF. Add the hot dogs & grill for 5-8 min, flipping occasionally until you have nice grill marks.
Step 5
Heat up the canned chili according to package directions & remove the fries from the oven.
Step 6
Add the hot dogs to the buns. Top with warmed chili, cheddar cheese, onion & jalapeño (optional). Serve alongside the french fries & enjoy!
