Ingredients

Utensils

Stovetop, Pot (small) and Frying pan.

Recipe

Pasta (linguine)

Step 1

In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions. When the pasta is done, set aside a small ladle of cooking water, then drain the pasta.

Shallot

Step 2

Peel & thinly slice the shallots.

Leeks

Step 3

Trim the ends of the leek & thinly slice it into rounds. Rinse the leeks thoroughly in a colander, then drain well.

Ground pork

Step 4

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. When hot, add the ground pork. Season with salt & pepper. Cook for 4-5 min, stirring often, until the meat is browned & cooked through.

Step 5

Add the leeks & shallots to the pan. Season with salt & pepper. Stir & continue cooking for another 6-8 min, over medium heat.

Parmesan
Ground pork

Step 6

Add the grated parmesan, drained pasta & reserved pasta water. Stir & cook for another minute, until the sauce thicken lightly.

Step 7

Serve the pork & leek linguine topped with extra grated parmesan, if you have some left. Re-season to taste & enjoy!
