Stovetop, Frying pan, Pot (small), Colander
Cut off the root of the leek. Slice the white & light green parts into thin rings (like a scallion).
Place the leeks in a colander and rinse thoroughly under running water. Drain well & pat dry.
Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add drizzle of oil or pat of butter. Then, add the leeks & cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Reduce heat to medium-low, cover & cook for 5 minutes.
In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions.
After the 5 minutes are done, add the cream to the leeks. Season with salt & pepper. Stir to combine. Cook uncovered for 3-5 more minutes.
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it & add it to the pan with the leeks & cream.
Top with grated parmesan. Season with salt & pepper. Stir to combine. Remove from heat & enjoy!
