Hanging out at the beach is the best. Soaking up some rays, maybe getting a little bit of a tan, and spending time with people you love means a day well spent. But what do you bring to the beach so you don’t end up hungry? After all, you don’t want to break the bank at an overpriced boardwalk restaurant!

Before you head on your next beach trip, pack a bag with some of these tasty, convenient, and quick snacks and meals in it. That way, you’ll be able to have a great time and stay fueled up.

Eggs Mimosa

This delicious, protein-filled snack is a take on the classic deviled egg recipe. We love making our hard-boiled eggs with some fresh chives and paprika, topping off the whipped-up yolks with some finely-chopped bacon. These little delights are absolutely irresistible, especially on a sunny day on a sandy shore.

Eggs Mimosa is quick, simple, and very shareable. If you’re headed to the beach with friends or family, make sure to make plenty – everyone will want to try some, and they won’t be able to stop with just one.

Tuna Wrap

Wraps make great lunches, and they’re super easy to make. Our no-cook Tuna Wrap recipe is the perfect beachside meal, and it’ll keep you full for hours.

Our recipe for a simple, yummy tuna wrap is full of protein, and it’s got plenty of richness and healthy fats, thanks to the addition of sliced avocado. The creaminess of the avocado slices pairs perfectly with a mixture of tuna and mayo. Plus, you’ll get a serving of vegetables thanks to the freshness of the mixed greens and shallots.

Springtime Pasta Salad

Pasta salad is a classic summer dish. Traditionally, this meal blends curled noodles (macaroni, for example) with vegetables, cheese, and a zesty dressing. Our Springtime Pasta Salad recipe is a bit of a departure from the norm – but we think it tastes amazing!

Anytime you’re going out on a picnic – beach or not – Springtime Pasta Salad is a perfect addition to your meal. One of the highlights of the recipe is the addition of light flakes of parmesan cheese. Paired with some mouth-watering prosciutto, you won’t believe how good it tastes.

Summer Burger

Nothing says summertime like food fresh off the grill – especially burgers.

A classic cookout food, burgers are often dismissed as a simple, easy meal with just a few basic ingredients. However, our Summer Burger recipe takes a more creative spin on things.

This burger is made with slices of swiss cheese, fresh herbs, and sun-dried tomatoes, all of which pair together to make a super-savory, complex flavor profile. Top all that with your favorite condiments and pair it with an all-beef patty, and you’ve got the makings of a killer burger.

Classic Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Grilled cheese is a timeless classic that, like the burger, is often underestimated. However, this humble sandwich can be truly irresistible when made well. The secret for making a perfect grilled cheese is what you add in to complement the basics.

On top of bread and cheese, we love to make our grilled cheese sandwiches with some baby greens and onion marmalade. These additions make the sandwich look gourmet, but they’re not just for presentation. The marmalade pairs perfectly with Comté cheese, and the greens add a crunchy texture to each bite.

Our favorite cheese for grilled cheese sandwiches is Comté, but you can go with gruyère if you’re struggling to find Comté cheese near you. Both of these cheeses are rich, buttery, and creamy—perfect for a primo grilled cheese!

Club Sandwich

Ah, the Club, the king of sandwiches!

Loaded with delicious ingredients, the Club is the perfect sandwich to bring with you on your next beach trip. It looks incredible, and it’s so stacked with meat, cheese, and veggies that you’ll need a skewer to hold it together.

You can make a Club with a variety of ingredients, but some of the classics are ham, swiss, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and bacon. We like using Canadian bacon paired with some chopped chicken to give our Club some unique flavor. In addition, our Club includes slices of hard-boiled egg, boosting the protein content and adding some creamy flavor to the mix.

Here’s a quick tip for the next time you make a Club – presentation is key! This is a great-looking sandwich, but it’s got so many ingredients that the way you arrange them makes all the difference. Layering the ingredients on top of each other with care and precision will keep your Club looking (and tasting) heavenly. As a finishing touch, try slicing the sandwich into triangles, giving it that classic deli look.

Strawberries With Homemade Whipped Cream

There’s nothing like strawberries and whipped cream on a hot summer day – especially at the beach!

Enjoying some ripe berries dipped in cream is a transcendent experience, and it’s even better when you make your own whipped cream. This might sound like a daunting task, but it’s easier than you think. Whipped cream can be made with just three ingredients – vanilla bean, sugar, and heavy whipping cream. Mix these ingredients in a bowl with a whisk or mixer, and you’re good to go!

For presentation, you can cut your strawberries into halves, removing the tops first to make them extra easy to dip and eat. Or, you can leave them whole.
