Ingredients

Utensils

Knife, Stovetop, Pot (small), Frying pan

recipe

Chicken sausage (Italian-style, pre-cooked)
Olive oil

Step 1

Slice the chicken sausage into 1/4-inch rounds. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken sausage & cook for 2-3 min per side, until golden brown. Set aside.

Cherry tomatoes

Step 2

Add another drizzle of olive oil to the same frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the cherry tomatoes. Season with salt & pepper. Cook for 4-5 min, or until softened & jammy. (Try smashing the tomatoes with the back of a wooden spoon to encourage bursting!)

Garlic

Step 3

Grate the garlic directly into the frying pan. Cook for about 1 min, stirring often.

Curly kale

Step 4

Add the kale (stemmed & chopped) to the frying pan. Season with salt & pepper. Cook for 2-3 min, until wilted.

Gnocchi

Step 5

Meanwhile, cook the gnocchi in a saucepan of boiling salted water. Reserve a ladle of cooking water. When the gnocchi floats, it's done! Drain.

Parmesan (grated)

Step 6

Add the seared chicken sausage to the frying pan, along with the gnocchi. Mix well, then sprinkle with parmesan & mix again. If the gnocchi looks dry, add a splash of cooking water. Remove from the heat.

Step 7

Serve in a bowl with extra pepper. Enjoy!
