A gift that everyone loves! Make your friends and family a sweet bag of cocoa truffles, and they'll know you care. Everyone will ask you for the recipe, and maybe next year you'll be the one getting them as a gift!
Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 12oz baking chocolate
- 4 tbsp butter (unsalted)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (or whole milk)
- 6 tbsp cocoa powder
Melt the chocolate in the microwave. (You could also use a double-boiler over the stove top!)
Add the butter to the melted chocolate. Stir until smooth & combined.
Add the cream & a pinch of salt. Stir again.
Refrigerate the chocolate ganache for at least 1 hour.
Once chilled, remove the ganache from the fridge. Add the cocoa powder to a shallow dish. Roll a spoonful of the ganache in your hands to form a 1" round truffle. Coat the truffle in cocoa powder. Transfer to a tray. Continue with the rest of the truffles.
Chill the truffles for 30 min. Serve & enjoy!
Homemade Cookie Butter Spread
Who doesn't love a good sweet spread? The whole family will want to taste this homemade treat!
Make it to offer to your friends and family, or keep it for yourself! We won't tell ;) The recipe will just about fill one jar. Multiply according to how many jars you want to make!
Let's make it!
Cookie Butter Spread
- 7oz Speculoos/Lotus cookies
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp honey
- 10oz sweetened condensed milk (about 3/4 of a can)
Put the Speculoos cookies in a blender and grind until a fine powder.
Add the cinnamon, honey, and sweetened condensed milk, and a pinch of salt. Mix for 1 minute. If the texture is too thick, add a bit of water until smooth and thinner.
Place the spread in a jar and chill in the refrigerator until it's time to gift (or eat!).
