Steak with Caramelized Onion Gravy

Ingredients for 1

Flank steak
1/3 cup
White rice (long grain)
1/2
Yellow onion
1/8 cup
Soy sauce
1 tsp
Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp
Corn starch
1/2 tbsp
Honey

Parsley (fresh)

- Step 1
Cook the rice according to the package instructions. - Step 2
Peel & thinly slice the onion. - Step 3
Slice the steak into strips. - Step 4
In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, honey, black pepper & cornstarch. Add a drizzle of olive oil. Then add the steak. Set aside to marinate for 3-5 min. - Step 5
Heat another drizzle of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion & a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring for 5 min. - Step 6
Add the steak & the marinade to the pan. Increase the heat to medium-high & stir. Add a splash of water. Sauté for 5 min, or until the steak is cooked to your liking. Add more water to create a gravy, if needed. - Step 7
Serve the steak & onion gravy alongside a fluffy bed of rice. Garnish with chopped parsley (optional). Season with salt & pepper. Add a final drizzle of olive oil. Enjoy!
