Utensils

Stovetop, Pot (small), Frying pan, Colander

Green beans (fresh)

Step 1

Wash & trim the green beans. Add the green beans to a pot of salted boiling water. Cook for 2-3 min.

Shallot

Step 2

Peel & mince the shallots.

Shallot
Butter (unsalted)

Step 3

Melt a dab of butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the shallots. Cook, stirring for 2 min.

Beef (steak)
Butter (unsalted)

Step 4

Add another dab of butter & the steak. Cook for 3 min on each side, basting the steak with the shallot butter.

Step 5

When the steak is cooked to your liking, remove it from the pan. Add a splash of water to the pan to deglaze it. Stir the pan juices.

Step 6

Remove the pan from the heat.

Green beans (fresh)

Step 7

Drain the green beans.

Beef (steak)

Step 8

Slice the steak.

Step 9

Serve the steak with the green beans. Don't forget to pour the shallot-butter sauce over all! Season with salt & pepper. Enjoy!
