Soy Glazed Beef & Broccoli

Stovetop, Pot (small), Frying pan

Broccoli (fresh)

Step 1

Wash the broccoli, remove the stem & cut it into florets. Reserve a couple florets for garnish.

Step 2

Add the broccoli to a pot of salted boiling water & cook for 5-7 min.

Beef (steak)

Step 3

In the meantime, add a drizzle of oil to a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 2 min on each side.

Soy sauce
Balsamic vinegar
Sugar (granulated)

Step 4

Add the soy sauce, balsamic vinegar & sugar to the steak pan.

Step 5

Once the steak is cooked, remove it from the pan. Let the sauce reduce while the steak rests.

Step 6

Drain the broccoli & rinse under cold water to stop the cooking.

Step 7

Place the broccoli in a bowl. Pour half the pan sauce over top. Toss to coat the broccoli in the sauce.

Cut the remaining raw broccoli into thin slices.

Step 9

Cut the steak into strips.

Peanuts

Step 10

Add the saucy broccoli, sliced beef & raw broccoli to a serving plate. Top with the remaining sauce, peanuts, salt & pepper. Dig in!
