Sausage & Broccoli Burrata Pasta

Pasta (Cavatappi)

Burrata
1/4 bunch
Broccoli (fresh)
1/4 lb
Italian pork sausage (ground)
2 tbsp
Parmesan (grated)

- Step 1
Peel & thinly slice the shallot. - Step 2
Wash & chop the broccoli florets into small pieces. - Step 3
Add a drizzle of oil to a skillet on medium-high heat. Add the ground sausage (sausage links work too, just remove the casing!) Break up the meat with a spatula. Add the sliced shallot to the pan & cook for 6-8 min or until the sausage is well browned. - Step 4
Meanwhile, in a pot of boiling, salted water, add the pasta. Cook according to package directions. - Step 5
Add the broccoli to the pan with the sausage. Cover & cook for an additional 3-4 min. - Step 6
Drain the pasta. - Step 7
Uncover the skillet, season with salt, pepper & red pepper flakes if desired. Add the pasta & parmesan cheese. Stir to combine. Remove the skillet from the heat. - Step 8
Serve the pasta topped with burrata. Season to taste & top with additional parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
