Smoked Sausage with Onion Gravy & Mashed Potatoes

Whole grain mustard

- Step 1
Peel & cube the potatoes. - Step 2
Add the potatoes to a pot of salted boiling water. Cook for 7-10 min, or until fork-tender. - Step 3
Cook the sausages to your liking (pan-fried, grilled or boiled!). - Step 4
Peel & finely slice the onion. Melt a dab of butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion. - Step 5
Season with salt & pepper. Cook, stirring for 3-5 min. Add a splash of water halfway through cooking. - Step 6
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Let cook for 1-2 min. - Step 7
Add the mustard to the pan. Mix to combine. - Step 8
Add the sausages to the pan. Stir into the onion-mustard mixture. - Step 9
Drain the potatoes. - Step 10
Add the milk, salt, pepper & a dab of butter to the potatoes. Mash with a fork or potato masher until smooth & creamy. - Step 11
Serve the sausages on the mash with the sauce, season, serve, it's ready!
