Beef (ground-beef patties fresh)
1/2 lb
Potato
1/2
Shallot
1 handful
Green beans (fresh)
2 tbsp
Milk (whole)
1 Dab
Butter (unsalted)

- Step 1
Peel the potatoes & cut into 1-inch cubes. - Step 2
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the diced potatoes. Cook for 15 min. - Step 3
In another pot of salted boiling water, add the green beans. Cook for 5 min. - Step 4
Meanwhile, chop or thinly slice the shallot. - Step 5
Once the green beans & potatoes are cooked, drain separately. - Step 6
Add the potatoes to a bowl. Season with salt & pepper. - Step 7
Add the milk & butter to the potatoes. Mash until smooth, adding extra water or milk if necessary. Cover both the mashed potatoes & green beans to keep them warm. - Step 8
Melt another dab of butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the shallots. Cook for 2 min. - Step 9
Add the beef patties to the pan. Cook for 2 min on each side, or until done to your liking. - Step 10
Add 2 tbsp of water (per serving) to the pan to deglaze it. Let it thicken for 1-2 min, creating a gravy. - Step 11
Serve your meat, potatoes & green beans covered in shallot gravy. Enjoy!
