Preheat your oven to 350°F. Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin, round slices. (by hand or with a mandoline)
Chop the garlic.
In a saucepan, bring the milk to a boil with the garlic and nutmeg. Lower the heat to medium and add salt & pepper and the potatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Add everything to an oven-safe dish with the cream. Bake for 45 minutes.
Serve alone or as a side. Enjoy!
