  • Step 1
    Wash and peel the potatoes. Peel the outer skin of the onion.
  • Step 2
    Épluchez l'oignon.
  • Step 3
    Grate the potato and onion.
  • Step 4
    Remove excess water by squeezing the vegetables in a dish cloth.
  • Step 5
    In a bowl, add the grated veggies, flour, egg, salt & pepper. Mix well to combine.
  • Step 6
    In a frying pan on high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Drop 2 tablespoons of the potato mixture, forming a circle and press down with the back of a spoon.

    Cook for 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  • Step 8
    Retournez les galettes et faites les cuire 5 minutes de l'autre côté.

    Serve with a scoop of sour cream and a slice of smoked salmon. Optional: add fresh herbs, such as chives or parsley. Enjoy!
