Hash browns (diced, shredded)

Step 1

Cook the diced potatoes according to the package instructions. Season to taste.

Shallot

Step 2

Peel & mince the shallots.

Butter (unsalted)

Step 3

Melt a dab of butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the shallots. Cook, stirring for 2 min.

Beef (flank steak)

Step 4

Add another dab of butter & the steak to the pan. Cook the steak for 3 min on each side, while basting it in the shallot butter.

Step 5

Once the steak is cooked to your liking, remove it from the pan. Add a splash of water to the pan to deglaze it & stir. Remove the pan from the heat.

Slice the steak.

Serve the steak with the prepared potatoes. Season with salt & pepper. Don't forget to pour the shallot-butter sauce over all! Enjoy!
