Ingredients for 1 pie
Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a pan on high heat, add the soy sauce, sugar and butter. Reduce until the sauce thickens and caramelizes.
Wash the tomatoes and cut them in half.
Cover the bottom of a pie dish with parchment paper.
Pour the caramel sauce in the bottom of the dish and evenly distribute the tomatoes.
Cover with the puff pastry, folding the edges inward.
Cut the crust a few times with a knife (to allow air to escape when cooking) and bake for 20 minutes at 400°F.
Once golden brown, remove the tart from the oven. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
To flip the tart, place a large plate over the pie dish and holding together, flip in one swift move. Be careful! There might be some juices in the pan.
Top with some fresh basil and serve with a salad. Enjoy!
