Ground beef

Cheddar (slices)

Red onion

Tater Tots

Preheat the oven to 425°F. On a sheet tray, add the tater tots & bake according to package instructions, about 20 min. - Step 2
Meanwhile, peel & finely dice the red onion. - Step 3
Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion & cook for 1-2 min. Add the ground beef. Stir & cook while breaking up the meat with the spatula, about 4-5 min. Season with salt & pepper. Remove from the heat. - Step 4
Remove the tater tots from the oven. Spoon the ground beef on top. Lay the sliced cheddar over the meat & return to the oven. Bake for another 5-6 min, until the cheese is melted. - Step 5
Once the cheese is melted, remove the tray from the oven. Garnish with chopped chives (optional) & additional red onion if you have any. Serve with ketchup or BBQ sauce, enjoy!
