Gruyère cheese (shredded)

Milk (whole)

- Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Wash & cut the broccoli into florets. Add them to the pot & cook for 3-5 min. Drain & set aside. - Step 2
Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Whisk in the flour, stirring constantly until combined. - Step 3
Gradually whisk in the milk. Add a pinch of nutmeg (optional). Once thickened, use a spoon to stir in half the shredded cheese. Remove from the heat. - Step 4
Add the drained broccoli to a greased baking dish. Pour the white sauce over top. Sprinkle with the remaining shredded cheese. Season with salt & pepper. Stir to combine. - Step 5
Bake for 15-20 min at 400°F, or until the top is golden brown. Enjoy!
