recipe

  • Step 1
Peel & slice the onions into thin strips.
  • Step 2
    Cut the brie into slices.
  • Step 3
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan, over medium heat. Add the onions. Season with salt & pepper. Cook for 4-5 min, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 4
Once slightly translucent, add the balsamic vinegar & honey. Stir & continue cooking for another 5-6 min, until the onions are caramelized. Set aside & keep warm.
  • Step 5
In the same pan, heat another drizzle of olive oil, over high heat. Add the beef patties. Season with salt & pepper, & cook for 2 min on one side. Flip & season the other side. Cook for 2 more min then add the brie slices & cover the pan. Turn off the heat & continue cooking for 1 more min, until the cheese is melted. Keep warm.
  • Step 6
In the same pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil, over medium heat. Toast the buns, cut-side down for 1-2 min.
  • Step 7
Assemble your burger by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom bun. Top with the lettuce leaves, caramelized onions & cheesy beef patty. Close the brie & caramelised onion burger with the top bun & enjoy!
