Beef & Broccoli Stir Fry

Beef (sirloin steak)
1/2
Broccoli (fresh)
1/2 clove
Garlic
2 tbsp
Soy sauce
1 tsp
Corn starch
1/2 tbsp
Sugar (granulated)

1 tsp
Sesame seeds
optional
1/2 tsp
Fish sauce

- Step 1
Slice the steak into thin strips. - Step 2
In a bowl, whisk together the fish sauce (optional), soy sauce, black pepper, sugar & a drizzle of vegetable or sesame oil. Add the steak. Set it aside to marinate. - Step 3
Wash & cut the broccoli into florets. - Step 4
Add the broccoli to a pot of salted boiling water. Cook for 2 min. - Step 5
Peel & thinly slice the garlic. - Step 6
In a small bowl, dissolve the corn starch in a drizzle of room temperature water. - Step 7
Drain the broccoli. - Step 8
Heat a drizzle of oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic & stir. Add the beef & stir again. - Step 9
Add the broccoli. Whisk in the corn starch mixture. Reduce the heat to medium. Cook, stirring for 2-3 min. When the beef is cooked through, remove the pan from the heat. - Step 10
Serve the stir fry garnished with sesame seeds (optional). Enjoy!
