- Step 1
Wash, stem & seed the bell pepper. - Step 2
Slice it into thin strips. - Step 3
Add a drizzle of oil & the pepper slices to a pan over medium-high heat. - Step 4
Cook for 5 min, stirring frequently. - Step 5
Add 1/4 cup of water (per person). Reduce heat & cook for 5 more min. - Step 6
Drain the chickpeas & add them to the pan. - Step 7
Season with salt & pepper. Add the allspice & stir. - Step 8
Cover & cook for 5-7 min. - Step 9
Remove from the heat. Garnish with chopped parsley & fresh lemon. Enjoy!
