  • Step 1
    Wash, stem & seed the bell pepper.
  • Step 2
    Slice it into thin strips.
  • Step 3
    Add a drizzle of oil & the pepper slices to a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Step 4
    Cook for 5 min, stirring frequently.
  • Step 5
    Add 1/4 cup of water (per person). Reduce heat & cook for 5 more min.
  • Step 6
    Drain the chickpeas & add them to the pan.
  • Step 7
    Season with salt & pepper. Add the allspice & stir.
  • Step 8
    Cover & cook for 5-7 min.
  • Step 9
    Remove from the heat. Garnish with chopped parsley & fresh lemon. Enjoy!
