Italian pork sausage links (sweet)

Broccoli (fresh)

Shallot

1/4 cup
Parmesan (grated)

- Step 1
Peel & finely chop the shallot. - Step 2
Wash & cut the broccoli into florets. Finely chop the florets. - Step 3
Cut the sausage lengthwise, then peel off the casing. - Step 4
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan. Add the sausage & brown for 4-5 min while breaking up the meat into small pieces. - Step 5
Meanwhile, in a pot of boiling salted water, add the pasta & cook according to the package instructions. Reserve a small ladle of cooking water, then drain the pasta at the end of cooking. - Step 6
Add the broccoli & shallot to the pan. Season with salt & pepper. Mix & cook for another 7-8 min on medium heat. - Step 7
Add the pasta & reserved pasta water to the pan. Mix well & cook for an additional 1-2 min. Add lemon zest & juice if you have any! - Step 8
Serve the pasta & top generously with grated parmesan. Enjoy!
