recipe
- Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a pot of salted, boiling water, cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain the pasta & set aside. - Step 2
Meanwhile, prepare another pot of salted, boiling water. Wash & cut the broccoli into florets. Halve the florets to make bite-sized pieces. Cut the ham into thin strips. Boil the broccoli until bright & tender, about 4-7 min. - Step 3
In a small sauce pot over low heat, melt the butter. Add the flour & whisk quickly for 1 min. - Step 4
Slowly add the milk, mixing until the sauce is thick & bubbly, about 2 min. Season with salt, pepper & a pinch of nutmeg if you have. Remove the pot from the heat. - Step 5
In a baking dish, add the drained pasta, broccoli & cut ham. - Step 6
Cover with the cream sauce & toss it all together. - Step 7
Top with the shredded cheese. - Step 8
Bake for 15-18 min in the oven at 400°F, until the top is nicely browned. Serve & enjoy!
