Red lentils (dry)
1/2 cup
Tomato sauce
1/2 tsp
Cumin (ground)
1/4
Yellow onion

- Step 1
Peel & chop the onion. Heat a drizzle of oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the onion & cumin. Cook, stirring for 2 min. - Step 2
Add the dry red lentils, tomatoes & 1 cup of water (per person). Season with salt & pepper. Stir to combine. - Step 3
Bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low, cover & simmer for 15 min. - Step 4
Purée the soup with an immersion blender, blender or food processor. Add a bit of water if it's too thick. - Step 5
Season to taste. Serve & enjoy!
